We are interested to see how courts are handling a specific scenario for certificate of title for abandoned vehicles. If you have judges or magistrates that handle these matters routinely, we would appreciate it if you could inquire how they have addressed this situation. For owners of a repair garage or place of storage who are seeking title to a vehicle OVER $3,500, such that R.C. 4505.101 does not apply, are court's permitting the repair garages to obtain title under R.C. 4505.10. If so, does your court allow the repair garage or owner to extinguish any liens on the car (so the car can be sold and removed from their facility) and what process do they have to follow?
Thanks for your help!
