Lisa,

We do no charge for established Guardianships to transfer to Warren County. We also don't find Guardians for Prospective Wards; someone has to present an application to the Court.

We do accept complaints against Guardians. There is no charge for the Indigent Ward to file a complaint. For someone other than the Indigent Ward filing a complaint it is a $5.00 filing fee .

Thanks,
Nannette L. Brown

Hello, Lisa. Happy New Year!
Are any of you charging Nursing Homes and agencies that are transferring wards to your court? If so, how much?
We do not charge the nursing homes nor do we locate guardians for them.
Also, when it comes to guardian complaints, do you allow the complaints and if so are you charging when they are filed?
We do file the complaints and give notice to the guardian that one has been filed and give them 10 days to respond. We charge $5 even if the ward is indigent.

Hope this helps. Ginger
