If any of you are willing to share your policy for sick leave payoff for retirement, will you please send to me?

This is what we currently have in effect, and it can be confusing enough to cause questions:

Termination of Employment: At the time of a disability or service retirement from active service with the Court, an Employee shall be paid for one half (1/2) the value of accrued but unused sick leave credit to a maximum of the value of seven hundred and twenty (720) hours/ninety (90) days. An Employee shall have had, at the time of retirement, ten (10) or more years of service with the County, the State or any of its political subdivisions, or any combination thereof. The amount of payment shall be based upon the Employee's rate of pay at the time of retirement, and shall eliminate all accrued but unused sick leave credit for the Employee at the time of payment.
