Good Afternoon,

If anyone has a court-sponsored mediation program for general division common pleas cases, can you please let me know some of the basic details such as whether you contract with mediators or have a court employee as a mediator, what cost you charge to participants, etc.  Any information you can share would be great!

Also, for court ordered intervention in lieu of conviction assessments, are your courts paying for these assessments to be done even for those who have privately retained counsel?  We currently have defendants who have private counsel pay for their own assessments, but it appears we may be in the minority on this.  If so, are your local mental health boards assisting with the cost of these assessments?  If you are aware of anything requiring the court and not the individual to pay, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for your insights  Have a good weekend!

Kristin
